My story

Meet Julien! This handsome Dutch Shepherd mix puppy is bursting with energy and a whole lot of love for his people! Julien is a social butterfly who wants to be right by your side, though he`s still learning how big he is! This bouncy boy can get a little enthusiastic during greetings and might try to stand up on you when you`re chatting. His new family will need to be patient and consistent in teaching him polite manners as he continues to grow into his impressive size. Julien is still working on his comfort with handling. His new family will need to continue building his confidence and positive associations with leash walking.When it comes to playtime, Julien has a fantastic time with toys! However, he can become a bit submissive during interaction, sometimes showing submissive urination. His new family will need to be gentle and positive during play to help him build his confidence. Once he`s had a moment to greet, he does calm down and seeks attention from the other dogs. Due to his guarding tendencies and his enthusiastic, sometimes dominant, interactions with other dogs, Julien may do best in a home with teenagers and up who can provide consistent training, manage his interactions with other dogs appropriately, and continue to work on his leash manners and overall confidence.
