My story

Hi, I’m Elsa and I’m a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I will remain forever loyal to you. I’m 65 lbs. and tend to run a little high on the energy side. I love my walks, cuddles and being talked to. Dog Friendly: I love cuddling my older brother (13 years old) who’s half my weight. I would love to be able to be around with a younger dog to play with. Kid Friendly: I have a little human buddy who’s 7 years old, that I’ve been around for the past 3 years. I can be a little shy of course, but it don’t take long to warm up to other kids when they are in and out of the house. High Energy: My daily walks tend to help me with my high energy level. I also take a small dose of Prozac daily to help with my separation anxiety. I love my humans so much that it can cause me anxiety when they are gone all day. Crate & Potty: I don’t like being cooped up in small spaces, so I never got used to my crate. My mama tried everything. I do however have a bed that I am very comfortable in and go there when my humans need space/time away from me. I wait patiently until they’re ready to give me attention. Leash: I’m pretty good on my walks. I’m still learning not to be so skittish when we come upon other people and/or dogs walking. I just wanna make sure my humans are protected. We’re working on me not scaring people. Basic Commands: I am a very smart girl. I know a lot of basic commands, like- come, sit, stay, off, no, bed, walk, etc. I understand a lot. I also talk sometimes when I get very excited. Outdoors: I love being in a big yard where I can run, play and visit with the neighbor dogs between fences. Elsa would thrive in a home where her main human works from home or is home most of the day. She tends to listen and obey male figures the most. She is so loving and sweet and really tries her hardest to be a good girl. She also would do good in a home where she can get daily walks or go to the dog park. If she can have a young furry friend in the home that’s just as playful as her, then all the better. Elsa is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program. All iRehome dogs are being rehomed by their current owner. All iRehome behavioral and medical information is provided by the dog's current owner. TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with the current owner prior to completing the adoption process.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Elsa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
