My story

Meet Summer WalkerSummer Walker is a delightful dog – affectionate, full of puppy energy, and eager to please.She loves to meet and be around people. She made several human friends in our neighborhood, including several young children (ages 2-8). She is always eager to meet other dogs when out on a walk. She had several playdates with another dog in our neighborhood and loved romping in their fenced yard. She’s a fast and powerful runner – fun to watch!Summer is a good eater – she usually licks the bowl clean. She is fond of strawberries and apple slices and as a special treat, an occasional “Frosty Paw.” She also likes her red Kong chew toy filled with peanut butter-covered kibble. She works diligently to get every last bit out!After a long walk or in the evening, Summer is very happy to snooze and snuggle on the couch or the floor. Sometimes she’ll snore or stretch, and then she’ll roll over for a tummy rub, contorting herself into different positions to make sure we hit every spot. She also likes to sleep with her head hanging off the couch, which is adorable.Things Summer Doesn’t Like: Raw carrots Walking through water and being sprayed with water (but she is fine walking in the rain or on wet pavement/grass) Not being able to meet a dog she sees on a walkSummer is housebroken and has been learning some basic commands (“Sit”, “Stay”, “Find it”). At bedtime she is happy to go into her crate and sleep through the night. And she wakes up the next morning calm but happy to see you.
