She’s housebroken, crate trained, and knows several commands, including sit, shake, and fist bump. She’s also a pro at fetch, loves a good nap in the sun, and will happily keep you company while you go about your day.PJ has been through a lot, but she greets every day with quiet strength and a whole lot of heart. She came to HSHC after her longtime owner—who found her back in 2019—could no longer care for her due to their own medical reasons. It was a very tough goodbye, but PJ is ready to write her next chapter with someone who will love her just as much.She would love a calm home where she can be your one and only! PJ isn’t a fan of other dogs and can get overwhelmed in busy places, so peaceful walks and a quiet yard are much more her style. But give her a squeaky toy or a tennis ball and you’ll see her light up!PJ has arthritis in her knees, but with joint supplements, pain management, and a cozy bed, she’s doing great! She’s still mobile, playful, and full of life—she just needs a little extra care to keep feeling her best.She’s been sweet around kids in the past, but due to some food guarding, she’ll do best in a home with respectful kids aged 12 and up who understand how to give her space when she’s enjoying a snack.PJ is the kind of dog who turns simple moments into something special.
