Lainey

My story

I have named this very attractive youngster Lainey. Sweet girl was picked up by one of our officers on 4/10 as a stray and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. She weighs 50 pounds and is about one year old. She is a Lab/Retriever with some American Pitbull in the mix. She has the most beautiful soft silky chocolate brown coat, looks well fed and appears to have been nicely cared for. It baffles me when a dog with such exceptional qualities is not reclaimed. She walks well on a leash but when I led her past dogs who were barking at her, she became very intimidated. She knows the sit command. She likes toys. Lainey loves attention and wants to be close. She is quite sociable, alert, and curious. She has a moderate activity level. I always state in one way or another that every dog I do an eval for is best suited for an inside life to protect and shield her from the elements. Lainey is no exception. I can’t say enough positive things about this adorable highly adoptable girl.
