Charley

My story

Charley is a very sweet little guy! He's very affectionate and loves to play. He can be a bit shy at first, but with some patience he'll relax and his personality really shines!! He has great stamina and really enjoys long walks. According to his foster he doesn't bark at passing dogs or people. He's good at going #1 and #2 right when he's taken out. He's still working on his crate training, he'll cry for a while but then will settle for the night. Pretty normal for a pup learning to be comfortable in a crate. Charley would do best in a home with a tall secure fence, as we did notice his a bit of a jumper! Charley came from Bakersfield, a place where too many dogs don’t get a second chance. Thankfully, K-9 Unity Rescue saw him and reached out. Thanks to our transporters, he made his way to Shelter Hope. Be ready to adopt. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation.
