Black Eyed Susan is an ~ 1 - 1/2 year old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! ***Black Eyed Susan can receive applications but can’t go home until after her dental cleaning! Meet Black Eyed Susan! Black Eyed Susan is a beautiful calico girl who is ready to find a loving, patient, and understanding forever home where she can continue to blossom into the sweet girl she is. She came into the shelter as a very unsure and shy girl who did take some time to warm up to us but has been improving every day. She does enjoy slow and gentle pets from her favorite people and just simply hanging out near you. Once she is comfortable with her surroundings she can be active kitty who enjoys exploring her surroundings, batting around her toys from time to time, and lounging near a sunny window which is her absolute favorite. Black Eyed Susan enjoys spending time with her favorite people once she's had the chance to get to know them but she can be a nervous girl at times and does startle very easily. So, she would do best in a bit of a calmer and quieter home with a cat savvy family who understands when she may prefer her independence at times. She is looking for a family with older children at least 12 years of age or older who won't chase or startle her. She may do ok with other low-key and respectful pets in the house given slow and proper introductions to one another. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application
