Freya is a sweet Great Pyrenees mix, about 3 years old. She is a little timid when first meeting someone new but warms up quickly. She can’t help but crawl into your lap where she feels cozy! Freya was surrendered to Forget Me Not as she has a hard time learning that chickens aren’t toys. They look too fun to her and she can’t help but chase them! She does okay with cats but may chase if they run. In her short time at the shelter, Freya has already opened up so much and is starting to play fetch and walk on her leash. She comes to her name when called and knows sit. She is easily startled by loud noises, especially trucks. Freya is such a sweetheart and will continue to flourish in a home with continued love and patience. She is much more of a pet than a traditional Livestock Guardian Dog, and is more suited to being an indoor family member than an outdoor dog. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Freya is a suggested minimum of $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
