My story

Moet was in the main area of her kennel, curled up towards the back with a neutral body. Upon opening the door, she tenses briefly, taking a few seconds to get up and come forward. She head bunts assessor's hand and allows petting on her head, cheeks, shoulders, and down her back, purring and head bunting throughout the interaction. After hearing the sound of the kennel door next to her close, she flees to her hidey spot and lip licks. She does not come back down to the front of the kennel and remains slightly tense, but does continue to allow petting. Moet tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. She will likely need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.A volunteer writes:Moet is a pretty kitty gal who is with us as her family sadly lost their home. Owned since kittenhood, she has been beautifully cared for. Moet is shy and usually found resting on her balcony. She feels safe there, away from the hustle and bustle of the care center. She is perfectly groomed and so girly looking. I love her gentle and timid face, her bright eyes that open and close as I speak softly to her. Without moving her body, Moet leans into pets and even purrs more and more loudly(see her video). We do not know much about Moet's habits and lifestyle but I feel that she is a gentle , well mannered and affectionate kitty who will make a very loving pet. Come and meet precious Moet at the Manhattan Care Center! Primary Color: Gray Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 10.7 Age: 9yrs 1mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Moet, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
