My story

The eyes have it!! Our own city boy, Chicago, has the most beautiful, soulful eyes and is just waiting for a family at whom he can gaze adoringly. Combine those eyes with his white bib and socks and you have quite the looker.This good-sized boy is settling in well at the shelter. He spends morning playgroup time having a rough and rowdy romp with other like-minded pups! If you have other doggy family members, our shelter staff will help introduce him to be sure everyone gets along, just like they do for all the other dogs here.This boy is also enamored of his walking time because he gets to SNIFF! He may not be a beagle, but he has mad sniffing skills! And speaking of skills, he`s very happy to demonstrate that he already knows `sit` and to wants you to know that he`s very willing to work hard for treats!Chicago recently got a break from the shelter. Sounds like he and his hosts had a fabulous day! ` Today was all about fun and sunshine with Chicago! We went for a walk in the park where he soaked up all the attention from strangers—he absolutely loves people and never misses a chance to make a new friend. After the walk, we treated him to a pup cup, which he devoured with so much excitement. Chicago is full of energy but also has the sweetest side—he loves cuddles and always wants to be close to the people he cares about. It was the perfect day spent with the happiest pup!`This popular pup was lucky enough to get another break from the shelter and got another glowing report: `We had such a fun day out with Chicago! We went to a park and went on a long walk; he made sure to sniff every inch of the path! We then sat in the shade and had a picnic; he was very good and laid in the sunshine! He got a little snack of potato chips from our picnic! Then we thought he would love to go on a run with a few of us and he did! He ran so well on a leash and was the perfect companion for those activities!`Chicago is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Come meet this wonderful young man today!His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
