My story

River is a 4.5-year-old mixed breed with a quirky underbite and a big personality to match. He was found as a stray on April 11, 2025, and has been making his way toward stability ever since. This spirited boy is full of charm, curiosity, and a bit of mischief, but under it all, he’s just looking for someone to understand and guide him. River’s previous foster family noted that he’s house-trained, though he’s recently had a few accidents and episodes of destructive behavior when left alone—likely a sign of stress or separation anxiety. While this “acting out” isn’t typical for him, it’s a reminder that he’s still adjusting and needs a consistent, calm environment where he can feel safe. Despite his quirks, River is a lovable goofball with lots of potential. With patience, routine, and a bit of understanding, he’s sure to grow into a loyal, affectionate companion.
