My story

Bertha came to us back in February after likely being hit by a car, with a severely injured rear leg. Despite every effort to save it, her leg had to be amputated to give her the best quality of life. And let us tell you—this girl hasn’t missed a beat! Now a proud tripod, Bertha is adjusting beautifully and continues to amaze us daily with her strength, spirit, and the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. She’s affectionate, gentle, and a world-class cuddler who lives for love and connection. Whether she’s snuggled up on the couch or soaking in attention, Bertha is the definition of a lovebug.She gets along well with other dogs and would make a perfect addition to any family. Her calm, kind, and easygoing personality makes her the kind of dog who just fits right in—like she`s always been part of your life. Bertha is currently being spoiled in a loving foster home and is going through treatment for heartworms. She’s looking for her forever family to continue her journey of healing and happiness.
