My story

Meet Poe, an 11-year-old lovebug with a little extra to cuddle and lots of love to give! Don’t let his age fool you — this charming gentleman still enjoys all the little joys life has to offer, from lounging in sunbeams to chasing the occasional toy or simply soaking up affection. He’s as lovable as a kitten and happiest when he’s being doted on — just be prepared for a little extra slobber when he’s really feeling the love (yes, it’s his signature move). It’s weird, it’s endearing, and it’s so him. With his sweet personality, soft heart, and gentle soul, Poe is ready to find a forever home where he can share his golden years with someone who appreciates the magic of an affectionate senior cat.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
