Nebula

My story

Nebula is a husky mix that came to us from MCACC while she was carrying 7 puppies! We could tell immediately that she loves people. She had the biggest smile when we got her out of the shelter and she climbed right into the lap of her foster. She was a great mama to all of her pups and took excellent care of them. After they were all weaned and adopted, Nebula was spayed and now she is ready to find a family of her own. Nebula adjusted great into her new foster home. She absolutely loves her people— she will stick close to you, give a good snuggle and is quite the lap dog. She is a medium energy girl, who appreciates a good walk where she can show off her good leash manners. Nebula does jump on people when excited and she also exhibits resource guarding with her toys around other dogs. With consistency, these are traits that can be improved as she responds well to correction and redirection, and is a sweet dog who aims to please. For a husky mix, Nebula is a pretty quiet girl— she rarely has anything to say! Nebula would do well in a variety of different homes. She loves humans and would be happy in an active or a calm home. She is most particular about her animal siblings. She’s was a little unsure of other dogs at first and wanted some space, but once she settled and now that she is not dealing with her puppies, she accepts the presence of most other dogs. With her large personality, Nebula would probably do best in a home where she is an only dog, or with other mellow dogs. Nebula has shown a prey drive, so we would not recommend a home with cats. Because of her picky personality, children around ages 7+ who can understand and respect her boundaries is ideal. Overall Nebula is the sweetest girl who is doing so well in her foster home, and we know she is going to be an amazing girl for the family that decides to take her home too!
