Jaylo

My story

Jaylo is a short and snuggly girl who’s won over everyone she’s met—from the police officers who brought her in, to the volunteers and her loving foster family. She’s a wiggly bundle of affection, always ready to say hello with a tail wag, a kiss, or her signature tongue-out smile. In her foster home, Jaylo is living her best life with two young human siblings (ages 6 and 8) who adore her. She’s gentle and cuddly, loves learning new tricks, and listens well to commands. She enjoys short strolls around the block where she can take in all the neighborhood scents and say hi to doggy neighbors with polite tail wags. Jaylo is working hard on her outdoor potty training and making great strides. She’s got plenty of charm through her sweet snorts, silly expressions, and endless love. She loves living in her foster home with 2 human siblings (ages 6 and 8) who she likes to snuggle up with and gives kisses to. Shes always sticking out her tongue! Jaylo has a chill vibe and enjoys short walks around the block and is pretty good on the leash since it’s all about the sniffs! She has happily met the other neighborhood dogs with tail wags. She is working really hard on outdoor potty training and has improved drastically over just a few days but is definitely house broken otherwise, no destruction! She listens well to commands and loves to learn new tricks from the kids. Shes still quiet and hasn’t said a bark, but I’m sure it’ll take time to find her voice!04/14/2025 volunteer notes: Jaylo may be short in stature, but she makes up for it in love! Get ready for tons of adorable snorts and silly expressions with this pup. 04/13/2025 staff notes, Playgroup: Removed because uncomfortable with energy of the yard. 04/13/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Jaylo was in her crate with a wagging tail, soft eyes and a wiggling body. She was very easy to secure and came right out. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls moderately HANDLING : In the room, Jaylo was sniffing around curiously with an upbeat attitude. She was super friendly and social and allowed all handling. She does not know any tricks but does take treats very nicely. A staff member entered the room and she ran up with a wagging tail and was excited to greet them, she jumped up and got a little playful before sitting down and relaxing PLAY: Engaged in play, can get mouthy but nothing concerning TOYS: Minimal interest – short lived 04/12/2025 staff notes: When in the lobby, Jaylo approached a child who was sitting in a chair and had loose and wiggly body language. 04/12/2025 staff notes: Very sweet girl. Welcome to pets from everyone and easy to leash. She allowed scanning with no problem. Police stated she was very friendly and sweet while with them as well.
