River Song

My story

Meet River Song! She came to us when her owner was traveling too much, and River became afraid of the new baby in the home. This adorable young lady is looking for her new human companions so that she can see all that time and space has to offer! She loves to go on walks, and sniff in sniffing mats. She loves to be pet and will jump into your lap to seek more attention, and her bum never stops wiggling! River is able to live with children 6 years and up, and can live in a home that has cats. She does like other dogs, but cannot go home with any canine companions while she is undergoing heartworm treatment. River is a part of our Foster-To-Adopt program while she finishes up with her heartworm treatment. This means that the Medical Department here at Animal Friends will work with adopters on her treatment before she can be finalized for adoption. She will need to have restricted activity while she undergoes treatment, so exploring all of time and space will need to wait until she is feeling a bit better. She needs an adopter who is committed to her care, and making sure that she is remaining calm during her treatment.
