My story

Well, hello there! My name is Buddy(PhD) and I am an 8 year old 13.2 lb Chihuahua. I came in to Forever Loved along with my brother when our owner fell on some hard times and lost our lodging. I’ve been living in a wonderful foster home with several other dogs and I’ve done very well. I completely ignore one of my new housemates who can sometimes be a jerk to me. I am mostly house trained, but let’s be honest, I will mark my territory in a new environment. The good news is I am tolerant enough to wear a belly band while you and I work this out. I came in with some nasty teeth, 17 of which had to be pulled, and I had a very itchy rash but now after a dental and some good medications, I am already feeling better and not itching. Good nutrition that I’ve been getting from my foster mom has also been great for my health and well-being. I am a bit hard of hearing but when I bond with you, or you have something wonderful like a treat, my focus is definitely on you. I am good on the leash, I ride good in the car, but I really don’t like being crated. I love to use my nose to seek out yummy goodies, and if you provide me with puzzles and fun enrichment, that makes me a Pretty Happy Dude, PhD. I love cuddling and affection from my foster mom. Here is another truth about me - I am afraid of walking in the dark, so please have a secure yard for me to go out in at night. I’m alert and curious, I’m friendly, and I was really good meeting a kid and going for a walk with them. Please apply to meet me! I’m ready to find my new happily ever after.
