My story

Meet Lucky! Lucky is 10 years old, and the sweetest old man. He loves to nap, and be by your side as much as possible. He has a lot of funny quirks, he sometimes likes to act like a cat, and scratch his back on things around the house, especially pillows! He’s slightly visually impaired, he can see far away, but struggles to see things that are close to him, whenever he’s in a new place, he will occasionally bump into a wall, but he has no trouble getting around, and does great going up and down stairs.  Because of this visual impairment, whenever you call him and he’s close to you, he will back up until he can see you, and then come running towards you.  He’s great with cats and dogs. He’s crate trained, and still working on his house training.  Since he’s still waiting for his hair to grown back, he gets cold very easily, and loves to wear sweaters and cuddle up under a heated blanket to stay warm. Lucky would love a home with someone home more often than not. This sweet gentleman would love a fur-ever home all his own!  Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. ##2357259##
