Oreo

My story

This amazing ball of floof is Oreo. Oreo was surrendered by his owner due to too many dogs. Oreo is approximately 1.5 y/o and 30#. He is a good boy who would do best with another playful tolerant dog his size in his new home. He is a bit fearful of bigger dogs. Oreo walks well on the leash and would benefit from daily walks and a basic doggie manners class. Oreo is working on marking and gets better every day. He needs continued support and supervision and let outside often to do his business. He currently wears a belly band at night and sleeps in a dog bed. He tolerates a kennel for short periods but doesn’t love it, so someone home during the day would be best. His fluffy coat will require more than average grooming. Oreo is fearful of grabby hands, humans reaching over him, and fast movements towards him so only homes with children 12+ or no kids will be considered. We do not know how he is with cats but he is very herdy so cats aren’t recommended. Oreo is not a good fit for an apartment situation and requires a fenced in yard. A Corgi experienced home would be best as he’s not a good option for a first time owner. He needs some time to settle and patience while he learns a new routine in a new environment with new people. He can be nervous at first, but once he feels comfortable, he is very affectionate and cuddly.
