My story

(Photos will be updated soon!) We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 4/25//25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Bowie to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Bowie 💙 He is a purebred standard poodle. He is a cream apricot in color and absolutely stunning! He is 8 months of age. He is set to see our vet on 4/21/25. He will be microchipped, current on all of his one year vaccines, have a fecal test sent in to clear him of all parasites (worms) and will be dewormed if needed pending what the results are, and will be cleared bu our vet who will provide a health certificate for him that will go with him to his new home 😊 I will have his weight updated as soon as I have it so make sure to check back! Bowie is an instant charmer. He will win you over from the moment you meet him, and you'll win him over just as easily especially if you are carrying treats 😂 He is a total foodie at heart! He is all that makes a poodle GREAT and has an unbelievable zest for life and all that's in it 💙 He enjoys to be a part of your world, no matter how it looks. He has a very adventurous spirit and is always ready to hit the road so if you love taking your boy along with you around town, or on vacation wherever the road leads you then I promise he will be up for it every single time! He is NOT your high energy pup whatsoever! Yes! If given the opportunity he will play, and run in the yard but he is just as happy laying at your feet while you work at the computer, or with his head in your lap if you are watching a good show. He has a highly adaptable personality, so no matter what your dad to day looks like, he will be happy just to be a part of it! He is wonderful with other dogs and cats alike. He is a friend to every animal he has ever met. If you have another sweet friend at home, he would happily join them in life, but if not I assure you, that YOU alone will be all he ever needs to be happy (especially if you keep the snack cabinet full for him 🙃.) He is very well behaved in the home, and has proven that he can have full access to pretty much anywhere he would like to be. He loves lounging on beds throughout the home, so we allow him to have his pick no matter where they are. He loves hanging in our room at night to watch a good show (yes! He loves watching tv!!) and knows once it's bedtime he goes peacefully to his crate where he sleeps all night without any fuss. He very well could sleep on a bed in your room, or in bed if yould like him there but we haven't begun that transition in our home, since he does so amazing in the crate already ❤️ He's He is doing amazing at house training. We have a great routine set up for him to go outside every 3 hours which he happily obliges to if he needs to use the restroom. He is very smart, and will simply stand back, or go back to his bed if he doesn't have to go He does very good on leash, and is learning that it leads to car rides around town so loading up has been the most fun for him 😂 He enjoys walks, but is always ready to load back up and head to the next adventure 😊 He is wonderful with our groomers and loves a good spa day ( he loves water! Especially when he gets to soak in a warm bath ☺️.) Yes, he is a total HAM! He has a lot of personality and fill our days with laughter as I know he will do with YOURS ❤️❤️❤️ He came to us from an older woman whose husband fell ill leaving her with little to no time to dedicate to raising her boys. (Bowie and Hendrix are brothers, but are not being adopted together as they are very confident outside of one another 💙.) She loved them immensely but knew it was selfish to keep them, and wanted their lives to be full just as she planned for them to be. She asked us to please take them in and find them the best homes we could!! His adoption fee is on on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/hendrix (The adoption fee will be updated after his exam!) It covers his vaccines, microchip/registration, and his exam with our vet that includes a health certificate stating he is healthy 💙. We are sending out a fecal sample to test for parasites (worms) and pending the results will determine if he will need to be dewormed. He is to young to neuter as its best for his growth plates to fully form prior to sterilization so he will be going home on a neuter contract. His adoption fee also goes back into the care involved in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done with him.
