My story

Are you looking for a big cuddly baby? Look no further- Rockie ACCT-A-215417 is the cuddliest 120 pound baby you'll ever meet! Rockie was surrendered to the shelter by his owner when a new baby came along and they couldn't care for him anymore. Since getting to the shelter Rockie has tried getting cuddles whenever and from whoever he can! This sweet boy loves leaning into you with a wagging tail getting pets all over. We know Rockie will make a family very happy! He seems to be a medium energy boy who needs to lose some lbs to get to a healthy weight. He's now available for adoption at ACCT Philly. He stared at them for a few seconds, and then got up slowly and had a wiggly body and loose tail! Leash: Allowed leashing very easily and walks pretty well with some minimal pulling- he’s pretty strong being 120 pounds but super easy to walk! Handling: At first outside he wasn’t super interested in me and was sniffing around, but after a few minutes came to me for pets and takes pads all over with a gentle and wiggly body. He looooves pets and cuddles!! Such a sweet boy. He takes treats pretty eagerly, but gently overall. He was a little stubborn when trying to get treats out of my fanny pack and was very eagerly trying to get in there but I had no issues when I moved my fanny pack away. He walks with a bit of a limp, but I can’t tell if it’s because of his weight or his nails are too long. Saw another dog through the fence and was very calm just standing there. Toys: Minimal interest in toys Color: Gold- very easy to handle slightly strong being a larger boy Medical: On 4/18, Rockie was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection (URI) and started on medication. Per intake exam on 4/14: “- Heavy staining on teeth and some tartar all over, gums pink and most - Damp coat/skin and is covered with small abrasions on back - Intact Male, no testicles present - BAR (bright, alert, responsive), very friendly and likes to give kisses” ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in.
