My story

If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Kevin is a 1-2 year old former stray. He can be shy at first, but will quickly become a loyal companion to a lucky adopter! Kevin is a huge fan of getting pets, and will cozy up next to you and give you plenty of nuzzles in exchange for head pets and ear scratches. He’s also very playful and would do well with another playful cat in the home. He’s constantly chasing around (or being chased!) by his foster siblings, and loves to play with toys, especially tennis balls. He also loves snuggling with his foster siblings. He even gets along well with his canine foster sister!   Kevin also loves to lounge and snooze. In a hammock by a sunny window, or by your side on a fuzzy blanket on the couch, little Kevin will be happy to take a nice long cat nap. (A spot to watch birds and squirrels also a plus ) Mostly, Kevin wants to be where his person is. Whether that’s in a cat tree in a home office while you work, at your feet during bed time, or wherever you may be, Kevin is ready to be someone’s new companion. He’s getting braver every day with new faces but may hide when you have guests over at first.  Kevin is also very food motivated and loves a treat or two.    Kevin’s estimated date of birth is 1/28/24. He has been neutered, microchipped, and dewormed. He tested FIV/FeLV negative, has a negative fecal, and is up-to-date on rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV vaccines. His ideal adopter is willing to feed them a moisture-rich species-appropriate diet (wet food). He is being fostered in central Indianapolis.
