My story

Approximate Date of Birth: 4/1/2022 Description:   Romeo spent his early years outdoors in a rough rural area. Thankfully, he was ready for safety and adjusted to indoor life almost instantly. Building trust took time, starting with treats offered on a spoon tied to a broomstick. Bit by bit, Romeo began to let his guard down. After a mishap left him with a swollen mouth, he allowed gentle care—compresses and hand-feeding while swaddled in a towel. That became a turning point. With healing (and plenty of treats), he began to enjoy head rubs, chin scratches, and eventually full body pets. Romeo is curious and observant, often watching the world from a cozy windowsill or cuddled up on his favorite dog-shaped pillow. At night, his playful side comes out—he’s got a weakness for batting at anything that moves. He’s still a little dramatic, but it’s mostly bluster. Romeo has come so far and is now ready for a patient, loving home where he can feel safe and truly settle in. Underneath the bluster is a big softie just waiting for someone to believe in him. Words to Describe Me: cautious, clumsy, curious, independent Favorite Place to Sleep: soft bed Favorite Toy: rolling toys Perfect Day: chilling on a window-sill, or soft bed and a lickable treat to cap the day Kitty's Likes: head scratches Kitty's Dislikes: being pounced on Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: he is stingy with his purrs Favorite Treat: lickable treats When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: safe and loved Good with Cats: Loves cats. Good with Dogs: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any dogs.)  Good with Children: Unknown. Companion Animal: Requires a companion if left alone for long periods of time. Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age. Adoption Process:   Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. We require interested parties to apply prior to meeting to ensure a good match.
