My story

Meet Bre (aka Tillly), a super sweet 1 year old spayed female husky/terrier/lab mix, weighing about 50 lbs! She is an active girl who would make an excellent hiking and/or running buddy, and would love a fenced in yard of her own to get out all of her zoomies!  Bre is an absolute sweetheart who loves her people! She can take a little time to warm up to men, but once she knows you are safe, she will be your BFF! She loves kids, but due to her size and excitability, we recommend older kids 8+ (as she may unintentionally knock over a small child). Bre thrives in the company of other four-legged friends and would do best in an active home with a doggo sibling(s) to keep her company. She does have some separation anxiety, which seems to be MUCH better when she is with other dogs vs alone. She would be a great choice for someone who works from home or is able to take their dog to work with them. Bre is medically up to date and housebroken. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
