My story

Meet Chico! Chico is approximately 2 years old, 14 lbs currently and he likely has some Chihuahua in his mix! Chico was positive for Heartworm disease when he came into our care, but has since been treated and is now ready for adoption! In his foster home, he is working hard on his house-training, crate training, and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 5+, cats, and other playful dogs.His foster says, `Chico, the Golden Nugget! Single Golden Lowrider Lookin` for Love in All the Right Places! He wants to ZOOM into MA and land in the perfect home(hopefully better than he lands when trying to jump on the furniture).Chico gave me a list of his wants. He LOVES playing with the other dogs. Big or small, this little golden nuggie has no biases. Humans that are ok with his antics. He had to have been part of a circus in his past life. He believes that his 4 inch legs will take him anywhere! He can Jump and Fly (just ask him). In reality, I am working with him on his furniture surfing. Active household. He said something about walks, long walks on the beach because he needed to work on his tan. I mentioned hiking, he said he has been working on being a mountain goat all his life. I told him trying to sit on my shoulder was more Parrot like, not goat. His story I guess right? Bedtime snuggles are mandatory on this list also. He has a set of steps he uses to get on the bed and loves to curl up and go to sleep with you. He mentioned cats. He likes cats. He would love one that plays and cuddles too. If not, that`s ok too he will just sneak cuddles in when he can. Chico is truly a golden nugget. One of a kind. He meets no strangers. He loves every human and every animal he meets. Even when met with attitude from dog or cat, he will walk away! He is the bestest boy at sharing food, treats, toys, snuggle spaces, and humans. He is even good at entertaining himself with toys and dogs. He is still young, and learning the appropriate things he can do, and working hard on potty training. He is super smart and learns real fast new things and routines. If snacks are involved, he is a captive audience.`He is available for adoption in Hopkinton by appointment.
