My story

Meet Asta! This boy is a sweet and loving dog that enjoys cuddling up under blankets. Unfortunately, due to trauma from his owner's past relationship, he is apprehensive around men.  He's a gentle and affectionate dog, who we believe would thrive in a home that can provide him with the attention and patience he needs to heal, either with no men in the household or with someone experienced in helping dogs overcome these types of fears.  Asta likes other dogs with proper, slower introductions and likes smaller dogs and loves kids. Asta walks very very good on the leash and on walks always leaves slack in the leash. He isn't reactive of other dogs, responds to "leave it" at squirrels. As far as treats go, peanut butter anything is his favorite!  He's not good with rope toys because he shreds them to eat the strands, but rubber toys, especially the peanut butter playology toy, he loves to play with!
