Meet Phineas – A Shy Boy with a Heart Full of Potential Phineas is a 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix who was found as a stray, and sadly, no one ever came looking for him. Understandably, he’s been very scared and unsure in the shelter environment—but with a little patience and kindness, Phineas starts to open up. What really brought out his personality? Toys. Once he discovered fetch, we saw him blossom into a playful, happy pup. It’s clear he’s been holding onto a lot of love—he’s just waiting for the right person to share it with. Phineas would thrive in a calm home where he’s given the time and space to settle in at his own pace.
