My story

Meet Truffle – A Gentle Beauty Learning to Trust Truffle is a 1-year-old Pitbull with stunning chocolate-colored markings and a heart as soft as her fur. Found as a stray, she’s understandably shy at first—but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. In the play yard, Truffle quickly warmed up, army crawling to our handler just for some gentle pets. She’s hand shy and easily startled by loud noises or sudden movements, but she’s trying her best to be brave. Once inside, she made herself right at home in our workspace, snuggling up with Officer Franks and giving us all a much-needed moment of calm and comfort. Truffle is laid-back, gentle, and loving. She’s done well with dogs, cats, and would be a great fit for a family with respectful kids. She just needs a calm, understanding home where she can continue to build her confidence and feel safe.
