Amir: Certified Drama King, Professional Snuggler, Occasional Medical Marvel Let us introduce you to Amir, a fabulous orange puffball with the flair of a telenovela star and the heart of a golden retriever. He’s not just a kitten—he’s an experience. You know those people who always have a story? That’s Amir. Except his stories involve emergency surgeries, dramatic rescues, and enough vet visits to earn frequent flyer miles—yet he still walks (okay, prances) around like the world is his stage and every visitor is there for his meet-and-greet. The Legend Begins… Amir started life on the streets, already working on his tragic backstory: cold, eye infection, and a “oops” medication moment that nearly took his eyesight. But does he hold a grudge? Nah. He recovered like a champ and moved on to his next plot twist—emergency surgery for a diaphragmatic hernia (yes, it's as fancy as it sounds). Did his heart stop during the procedure? It did. Briefly. But Amir wasn’t about to be outdone by something so basic as death. He came back swinging (and purring) with all the flair of a Hollywood comeback montage. Now Starring: Amir, The Slightly-Dented Wonder Amir lives with a condition called pectus excavatum, which basically means his chest is shaped a bit funny and his breathing is a little shallower than most cats. It doesn’t stop him from doing anything a regular kitten would—he zooms, pounces, and causes mild chaos just like the rest of them. He just marches to the beat of his own adorable, slightly faster metronome. He’s expected to have up to eight solid years of fabulousness, after which his heart might decide to be a bit extra and need a little pharmaceutical TLC. Maybe some heart meds down the road—no biggie, just Amir keeping things dramatic. Because of course he wouldn’t age like a normal cat. Also, yes—his eyes water sometimes. But really, it just makes him look emotionally available. Sensitive boys are in, and Amir is way ahead of the trend. His Daily Routine? Take vitamins like a champ (L-lysine & B-12—just mix 'em into his food, he won’t even notice). Strut around in his harness because yes, Amir does leash training. Cuddle like his life depends on it. Ambush his bestie Sylvestra for a zoomie session. Purr loud enough to rattle picture frames. His Relationship Status? Very much besties with Sylvestra, a tuxedo kitten and fellow tough-cookie. They cuddle, play, and call for each other like they’re auditioning for a buddy movie. Ideally, they go to a home together—but Amir is open to solo gigs if the chemistry’s right (and there’s another young, playful feline to befriend). Quick (but fabulous) Facts: FIV/FELV Negative ✅ Vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and de-wormed ✅ Daily L-lysine & B-12 (easy peasy) ✅ Needs annual vet checkups & some mild attention to his breathing ✅ Might need heart meds in the distant future—nothing wild ✅ Occasional eye cleaning needed if he doesn’t keep up with his glam routine ✅ Leash-trained in progress—future outdoor influencer ✅ Needs another kitten or young cat buddy in his forever home ✅ Has a song written just for him, have you heard it yet? ✅ Bottom Line? Amir isn’t a “special needs” cat—he’s just got a little extra flavor. Who among us doesn’t come with some baggage? Amir just wears his with dramatic flair, an endless purr, and a deep love for belly rubs.
