Taz

My story

Taz is a sweet gentleman looking to steal your heart! He has impeccable manners in the house, and he has been completely trustworthy in his foster home. Although he has the playful energy and stamina of a much younger dog when playing in the back yard, he is calm when inside. He is affectionate and companionable without being clingy. He loves watching the world go by outside the window or taking a nap in the same room with us, and he loves to snuggle up when invited to do so. Taz loves going on walks and has very good on-leash manners. He doesn't pull, except if there is a particularly interesting smell or a bunny to chase, but he will stop pulling when asked to. When encountering other dogs walking on leash, he wags his tail and whines a bit, apparently wanting to go over to meet them. Similarly, if a dog behind a fence barks at him, instead of barking back, he just whines and wags his tail. He’s got major kid-friendly energy and would likely do just fine in a house full of little humans handing out hugs and snacks (he takes treats very gently!). His keen interest in rabbits means he’s probably not a good match for a home with cats, but he would likely enjoy another dog to play with. He’s housetrained, crate trained, knows sit, down, stay, shake, and probably some other things we haven’t yet asked him about.
