ADOPTION FEE: $525 Meet Doug! This adorable cutie is looking for his forever home! FROM THEIR FOSTER: 4/23 Doug is the absolute sweetest creature that has ever existed! He loves cuddles and will bond very closely with his human. Afternoon nap? Doug’s your pup! He would love to nap on the couch with you (he likes to be the little spoon or lay on you), be held like a baby, or cuddle up and watch tv. He is also VERY silly, playful, and happy. Like, the HAPPIEST, silliest baby. It’s literally impossible to have a bad day around Doug! He lights up with joy when he sees his human, does his adorable little dance, and puts his heart-stopping ears back (mega baby mode). He is very confident and well-adjusted already for such a young pup (will obviously need continued socialization to keep this up). He hasn’t had a fear response to anything I’ve exposed him to so far - just curiosity. He loves meeting new human friends, and wants to play with every dog he sees. He is young enough to learn to live with a cat, too! He would probably love to have a playful kitty friend. He definitely seems to have some heeler in him (I’m guessing heeler/chihuahua or papillon based on appearance and behavior), and he’s in his exploratory phase with his mouth - but he is easily redirected onto toys instead. Doug will be SUCH an amazing and loyal companion for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him! We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Petco in Fort Collins (2211 S College Ave. STE 200, Fort Collins, CO 80525)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays!
