My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.A volunteer writes:  I'm so proud of Shadow, he has come a long way. When Shadow first arrived at the shelter, he was described as being shy, yet when I opened his kennel, he really has seemed to settle in and proudly walked straight to the front. It's hard to believe that he is one of our seniors because he has so much zest in his personality, which I absolutely love. My video could've been much longer, but every clip I tried to take to market how great Shadow is, he walked straight onto my lap ruining my video. I couldn't help but laugh. I wasn't mad in the slightest because he just wanted love and I was happy to give it to him. I will add, he absolutely loves treats so before I bid him farewell I gave him some crunchy snacks.My foster writes:"I will protect you from the toilet monster but is easily distracted by the sound of water. I'm a very chill cat that sleeps A LOT and look cute doing so. I like my personal space but will come to you when I feel like it, just don't roll over me when I sleep next to you."
