Meet Israel - A Gentle Soul Looking for His Special Someone He’s currently been at the shelter for over 100 days! Israel is a sweet and quiet 4-year-old who`s ready to find a place to call home. He may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, he`s incredibly affectionate and loves being close to you. He enjoys gentle pets and attention, and he`ll happily stay by your side once he knows you`re a friend. Israel takes treats with the softest touch and has a calm, peaceful presence that`s hard to resist. Israel is deaf or hard of hearing, so he`s hoping to find a patient and understanding adopter who will help him navigate the world with confidence. He`s looking for someone with a big heart and a quiet kind of love— could that be you? Give Israel the chance to feel safe, seen, and loved. He`s been waiting for someone just like you for so long! If you have room in your heart and home for a HoH house hippo who would do best as an only dog, come in and meet Israel any day of the week between noon and 7 pm! Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
