My story

All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Meet Snoop! This 4-year-old Basset Hound/Lab mix (aka a Bassador!) is 45 lbs of floppy-eared charm, sunshine-loving snoozes, and goofy energy. With the body of a lowrider and the heart of a teddy bear, Snoop is the ultimate companion for someone who wants a loyal sidekick by their side — always. Snoop is a certified goofball who loves squeaky stuffies, getting dressed up for Halloween, and soaking up rays in a sunny spot. He walks well on a leash, is 100% potty trained, and has no food or toy aggression — just chill vibes and big love. He’s great with kids, calm cats, and other dogs that match his easygoing energy — though he has a soft spot for the ladies. He’d thrive in a home with another dog buddy to keep him company, as he really doesn’t like being alone for long. Snoop has some separation anxiety, so he’s hoping to find someone who works from home or enjoys taking their pup along for the ride. When he’s not catching a quick zoomie burst, he’s a total couch potato who’s happiest just hanging out with his humans. Snoop doesn’t bark much (unless there’s a knock at the door), and he has a super sweet, laid-back personality that makes him a hit with everyone he meets. If you're looking for a gentle, silly, snuggly best friend to share your days with, Snoop might just be your guy.  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. April 30, 2025, 6:52 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Snoop Dogg, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
