My story

Hi! My name is Fig and I’m about 10 weeks old. I weigh around 12 lbs, and my fosters think I’m going to be a big dog! I love all people and kids, and while the big dogs sometimes think I’m too little or energetic, I’m always ready to play. I get along well with other dogs but haven’t met a cat yet. I’m not house-trained or crate-trained yet. My fosters are working on it, but I really don’t like the crate—I cry until I fall asleep and will cry when I go out at night. I cry a lot, but once I’m out, I’m the happiest, cuddliest little guy! I made myself right at home on the couch and beds—I love snuggling and watching TV. Since I’m still young, I’m learning manners. I don’t always understand when you tell me to stop, but I’m getting better—especially when treats are involved! I love being clean but I’m not a fan of water. Drinking it? Yes. Bath time? Not so much. I love chasing my foster siblings and running around the backyard. I’ll nip at your feet or pants if I want attention, and I’ll definitely let you know if I need to go outside—otherwise, well, accidents happen. I’m curious and love exploring, but I get nervous being alone, so I don’t hide for long. The leash doesn’t bother me much—I get tired easily and like to lay down a lot. I absolutely love being held and cuddled. Sometimes I’ll want my space but still stay close by with a paw on you. I know my foster will miss me, and I’ll miss her too, but I’m ready to find my forever home filled with love, cuddles, and treats!
