Hailey is spending her time waiting for her forever home in foster, and this is what her foster parents had to say about having this sweet girl in the home! `“Raising a dog is like a rainbow. Puppies are the joy at one end. Old dogs are the treasure at the other.” – AnonymousTruer words were never spoken about this sweet girl. Hailey is an 11 year old lab mix who after years of living outdoors is embracing the house dog life and loving every minute of it. She is enjoying soft beds, the friendship of other animals, and snacks and cuddles on demand.Hailey loves other dogs, and would love a friend she can play with. She even likes cats, and doesn`t mind hanging out with them. She loves going outside, and enjoys short walks and lounging in the yard with you. She will periodically play some kickball with you, and likes to play a little chase sometimes. Her favorite pastime is rolling on the ground acting goofy, and then going back inside for another snack. She rides well in a car too, and enjoys going for trips to the `magic window`.Hailey is mostly housebroken and crate trained. She happily goes in her crate in the morning and evening for breakfast and dinner, and crates well when we are at work. She walks well on a leash with minimal pulling. She has even completed basic obedience at Top Dog recently. She loves all manner of soft toys, snacks, and the occasional greenie to chew on. She absolutely loves snuggling with you, and will occasionally join you on the bed if invited. Her favorite thing is to have her head and ears rubbed, and told what a pretty girl she is.She said her ideal match will have a canine friend to play with, and cats are okay too. She really would like a yard that is fenced so she can continue to romp and play. She said snacks are a must, as well as cushy dog beds that she can flop into and grumble from if you are not paying her enough attention. She seems to do well with children, and doesn`t mind meeting new people, though she says you have to give this old lady a minute to get to know you. This girl is truly a treasure, and would love her own people to show you just how much of a treasure she can be to your family. She may move a little slower, and have definite opinions on what type of bed she wants, or if it`s snack time, but she is a treasure you should not overlook. Contact the Humane Society today to schedule a time to meet her!`
