My story

Meet Cassidy – A True SurvivorCassidy has been through more in her short life than most cats ever will. She and her brother, Truman were rescued from the euthanasia list just 24 hours before it was too late, facing an uncertain fate simply due to overcrowding. When she was rescued, she was sick with ringworm, an upper respiratory infection, and Panleukopenia—a deadly combination, especially for the runt of the litter. No one expected her to survive, but this tiny fighter had other plans.Just as she was finally healing, another devastating blow struck—she suddenly went blind, became disoriented, and was in another painful fight for her life. It turned out to be FIP, an illness that was once a death sentence for cats. But thanks to an incredible rescue and the generosity of donors, she received the life-saving treatment she desperately needed. After months of daily medication and painful shots, Cassidy defied the odds once again—she is now FIP-free!This brave little girl has endured so much, yet she remains full of love and hope. She is a happy, playful and super affectionate girl. She loves more than anything, snuggling under her plush blanket and watching movies with her foster parents. This brave girl deserves a forever home where she will be cherished, spoiled, and given all the love she has fought so hard to experience. If you can be the one to give Cassidy the happy ending she deserves, please contact us to set up a meet and greet. By her side every step of the way is Truman, her big brother and best friend. A shy & sweet gentle giant with a heart as large as his paws, Truman is Cassidy’s fierce protector, constant cuddle buddy, and personal groomer. Their bond is something truly special—you’ll often find them curled up together or lovingly bathing one another.Cassidy and Truman are looking for a forever home where they can continue their journey side by side. They’ve already faced the worst and survived. Now, they’re ready to bring light, laughter, and unconditional love into the lives of whoever is lucky enough to adopt them.If you are interested in adopting please complete our online application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=lv2236&method=online_form_html&formid=43Adoption Fee is $100.00All kittens are fully vetted prior to being adopted, FVRCP, FeLV and Rabies Vaccines, FeLV / FIV Tested, Spayed / Neutered and Microchipped.Note: We are part of Texas Rustlers Guinea Pig Rescue - www.texasrustlers.com
