Daisy *

My story

From her Foster home: Daisy is such a sweet, charming dog. She has an abundance of personality, expertly expressed through her distinctive facial markings. She is attentive to people and her surroundings-she has a little FOMO when she thinks something fun is happening that she’s not involved in (i.e. games her puppies play, treats, etc.). It’s been helpful to channel her attention into kongs and other tasks-she’d probably love food puzzles and other “jobs”. She has been super reliable on potty training (maybe one accident the first night?), sleeps through the night, and is okay to hang out on her own (in the laundry room with the puppies) for stretches of a few hours at a time. She seems to be settling into a medium-energy dog: she can do zoomie-runs like the best of them and likes to get her sniffs in, but isn’t bouncing off the walls inside. She is a champion snuggler, persistently moving a little more of her body over until she’s in your lap. She seems to enjoy working for treats when we’ve practiced sits and downs, though she’ll give a sassy little head toss asked to sit. She tugs on leash, but we’ve been getting her used to a Gentle Leader, which takes her leash manners to the next level. Her watch-out areas are: 1) she seems intensely interested in our indoor cats and would probably chase them if given the chance (and same when she’s seen squirrels and rabbits outside), and 2) she’s gotten worked up and bark-y when she’s seen other dogs. The right family would be lucky to have her.The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas.Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online.If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510.
