My story

Grey and black tabby TARKA is a sweet, outgoing, confident young adult male. He is good with other cats, cat-friendly dogs, and is even happy to meet strange humans. He likes climbing up to the top of the room on his cat shelves and would love to have a tall cat tree or shelf to perch on in his forever home. Zooming around the house, playing with all sorts of toys, wrestling with his cat friends and even taking walks on his exercise wheel keep him busy through the day. He also LOVES to cuddle up for a good snuggle and to sleep with his favorite human each night. He is exceptionally food motivated and believes kitchen counters and the food on them are there for his nibbling pleasure. At just over one year old, Tarka still has a ton of exuberant kitten energy and will need a young, playful buddy to wrestle and romp with. He is also still growing and promises to be a large size cat. If you are looking for a sweet, active, young cat and have a young playmate looking to share your home, come meet Tarka! You’ll fall in love! TARKA has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
