My story

Chestnut is just the cutest little spunky Chihuahua puppy that loves to play. He hides under the covers to keep his little 7lb body warm and pops his head out when he hears your voice. Chestnut is about seven months old and is a smart boy that goes potty outside and does walk well on a leash. He likes other dogs and cats and playing fetch is his favorite game. Chestnut is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is an overall healthy puppy.When he first came to Abandoned Pet Rescue, we noticed his head would bobble a little bit and our veterinarian discovered he has a mild case of Hydrocephalus, which is when cerebrospinal fluid is in the brain. Currently, he is living a normal life, but it is impossible to know if he will have complications later. Chestnut is part of Abandoned Pet Rescue's medical adoption program which qualifies him to receive veterinary care at our shelter if needed for this condition if it progresses.
