Hello! My name is Travis, and I am about 2 years old. Have you seen my amazing pictures? Really, what's going to catch your attention is my piercing blue eyes and thinking right away - Siamese! But nope. My Rescuers think I'm one of those designer cats because even though I look like a Siamese there's some other unique traits about me that says another designer breed - Balinese.I'm a stocky boy. The vet was shocked when I tipped the scale at 15#. I'm not fat - I'm just husky. Maybe I could play football. Can you see that? A kitty linebacker?!? Or kitty wrestler?!?I'm in a foster home with other cats and I'm learning the rules of the house. I love being petted, especially my ears. I will be your BF when you rub my ears. I might even start purring. I don't mind being picked up, but I asked that you go slow with me. See, fast movements startle me. I don't like my belly to be rubbed even though I might fool you and roll over on my back. I might be saying "rub my belly" but if you do - I'm going to grab your hands, and I do this roughly. So, my foster mom knows when I roll over on my belly, she rubs me on my chin or my ears and then says what a good boy I am. I guess I have some sensitive areas of my body and because of that, I should have caution with small kids.Remember I mentioned Im learning the rules of my foster home. Well, some of that applies to what I learned when I was found. If I could only tell you how my life began and who found me. My Rescuer thinks I was one of those designer kitties and maybe someone couldnt sell me because I got too old, so they let me go outside. Some nice family took me in, and I lived with other cats, but I always had to defend myself. Thankfully, my Finder asked for a rescue group for help. The world is a lucky place when there's Animal Rescuers! They know what to do with kitties like me. They said, Travis, you just need time to adjust and learn rules (structure).Even though my foster home has other cats maybe I would do best as the only cat or maybe another cat that I can learn to co-habitat. When I do play with the other cats, I am a rough player. I am ok with some of the dogs that live here. When I first saw a dog, I ran to my foster Mom to hide from them. She said, silly Travis he's ok. He doesn't mind you. I trust my foster Mom, so I just keep my distance from the dogs, and you know what? She's right. The doggies here are very cat savvy and vice versa. The kitties are also dog savvy. That's rescue! We all learn how to live with each other.I hope theres a family that will give me a chance for a forever home and will see past my striking blue eyes. I know if you give me time to acclimate in my new forever home, I am going to be an amazing cat. We might have some rough patches, but it will be so worth it. What do you say? Ready to take a chance on me?Thanks!TravisTravis is in our foster home in Aurora.
