Sassafras

My story

Sassafras was pulled from Montgomery County Animal Care and Control thanks to our partnership and their willingness to let us help cats who have a "spicy" side.  Sassy was not having a grand time at the shelter due to its busy nature and was very stressed and growly toward the staff and other cats.  Once she was pulled into her foster home, it was discovered that this adorable gal is actually quite sweet and had been front declawed at some point as well as terribly matted throughout most of her long hair.  No wonder she likes to growl!   Sassafras would do best with an experienced cat owner who can have patience with her when she runs out of patience herself.  She loves head scritches and full body pets, but does not like chin scritches at all.  She will be very vocal to let you know where her boundaries are.  She also loves to burrow and hide under her cat bed, so having a place where she can feel safe and secure will definitely help her adjust to any new surroundings.  Finders Keepers Cat Rescue is a foster home-based rescue in Clarksville, TN, and our cats are in private foster homes in the Clarksville area. Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or have another cat already in the home. An adoption application is required to meet our kitties. Once your application is reviewed and upon approval, we will then provide the information to schedule a meet and greet with their foster.   We are a 100% volunteer run organization and have varying hours, as our volunteers work during the day, our goal is to process adoption applications within 24-72 hours, please be patient with us!
