Fawn Merle

My story

    Meet FAWN MERLE!   Fawn Merle is a high-energy Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, born on 2/2/25! She is a beautiful girl with lots of love to give!   Like any other pup, she loves running around and playing hard! And also like most herding breed pups, she can be a bit chompy, but is doing great at being redirected onto toys. She really enjoys chewing on things, so plenty of chew toys are a must! Also, experience with high-energy/working breeds is highly preferred. And while she has been good with the kids she met, older kids (10+) will be best for her.   Due to improper breeding, Fawn was born with a preventable genetic trait called "double merle" which mostly affects the pigmentation, eyes, and ears. Fawn is completely deaf and only has vision in her right eye. Despite these handicaps, she continues to show she can do just as much as other pups! Since she is deaf and visually challenged, a fenced yard will be required to ensure she has a safe space to play and exercise.   Her foster momma is a certified dog trainer, so Fawn is already learning certain behaviors such as a hand touch, sitting, and lying down with a combination of food/toy rewards and tactile touch.
