He’s about 2.5 years old, weighs 40 pounds, and is a bully mix with a sweet, gentle vibe that wins people over quickly. Originally surrendered to the South LA shelter in early 2023 due to housing issues, Ryder spent over a year in boarding before his rescue closed. Despite all the upheaval, he’s stayed resilient and full of heart—now he just needs someone to give him the love and stability he deserves. Ryder is a laid-back, affectionate guy who really thrives in the company of other dogs. He seems to draw confidence from them and would love a home with a calm dog buddy to hang out with. He can be a little reserved at first in new situations, but once he feels comfortable, his playful and curious side starts to shine. He’s easygoing, loyal, and quietly loving—the kind of dog who’s just happy to be near his people (and dog friends).
