My story

Meet Steve! Steve is a playful and young black cat who spent most of his life in a kennel in a crowded shelter. When he came to us, we were immediately charmed by his sweet nature. Steve is a CH kitty, this means he has Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This is a non-contagious condition where Steve wobbles while walking or eating and struggles to maintain balance. This is most apparent when he is really excited as his movements become more erratic. When he is calm, his movements are slower and more careful. His hind legs are weaker but have been improving in his foster home with leg exercises and freedom of movement. Steve uses a standard litter box successfully, he is messier with the litter but has no problem taking himself to the bathroom. He can climb up his fosters legs using them as a ramp to get places. Steve loves to cuddle and is at his calmest in a lap getting ear scratches. His genetics were even more against Steve, in that he doesn't have canine teeth. He has a couple molars and incisors but his canine teeth just never developed. It doesn't slow him down, he is a very hungry boy still! Due to his CH diagnosis and his genetic quirks, Steve needs to be an inside only kitty. Apply to meet Steve today!
