My story

🤎🌴🤍Meet Azucena, a “Sato dog” from Puerto Rico! A “Sato dog” refers to the small to medium-sized stray dogs on the island. Island dogs are smart, loyal, highly trainable, and thrive on routines and consistency. They have wonderful demeanors, make devoted companions, adjust well to their environments, and are a perfect mix of energetic and affectionate. There is no love like the love of an island dog. Azucena was found wondering at a cement factory (Cemex) located in Ponce, PR. It is believed she had a prior home and was dumped there. She was rescued on April 9th and is healthy, happy, and full of love. This sweetie has a gentle soul with an amazing disposition and personality. Azucena is fostered with four dogs, (two being Satos), two cats, and foster dog friends too! With patience and love, this girl will make an amazing companion. She is potty trained, used to a crate, working on leash training, and will continue to learn all the ropes. As she is easy going, we see no issues interacting with kids- with proper introduction. (Mom and Dad are unknown). We are excited to see her confidence continue to thrive.
