My story

Chase is a 9-month-old dog who was found abandoned in a dumpster in northeast Colorado with his two sisters that have been adopted. Genetic testing has shown that Chase is actually a cattle dog mix, rather than a lab as he initially appears. Chase was previously adopted but had to be returned due to his owner's job loss. Despite the difficult start, Chase has received training in his previous home and is described as a "really good boy". Behavioral Profile Chase is house, crate, and doggie door trained, indicating he has good basic obedience skills. He is very friendly and loves to play, suggesting he has a social and energetic personality. Chase is known to be a counter surfer, meaning he will try to steal food from countertops. This will require continued training and management from his new owners. Due to his high energy level, it is recommended that Chase not be placed in a home with young toddlers, as he could potentially knock them over. Overall, Chase seems to be a loyal and loving companion who just needs an adopter willing to continue his training and provide appropriate structure. Adoption Recommendations Chase would do best in an active home with experienced dog owners who can continue his training and provide outlets for his energy. A home without young children under 5 would be preferable, as his size and energy could be problematic for small kids. Potential adopters should be prepared to work on Chase's counter surfing behavior through training and management. Those interested in adopting Chase should fill out an application on the www.Fureverdogdenver.com website. They can also call 720-588-6809 with any questions or to arrange a meet-and-greet. In summary, Chase is a friendly, trainable cattle dog mix who has overcome a difficult start in life. With the right adopter committed to his continued development, he has the potential to be a loyal and loving companion. ##2195277##
