My story

Feather appreciates some attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.A volunteer writes: Quietly happy to be here, if Feather were a person, she'd be the one in the corner smiling ear to ear. Her earnest hopes that someone will notice her are heartbreaking in their sweetness. I first saw Feather fast asleep in her bed with her little paw wrapped around her toy. Using it as a pillow and a security blanket combo, I was reluctant to disturb her though simultaneously thrilled that she noticed me first standing at the front. Stretching her paws as she walked, Feather welcomed me to her condo home, generously leaning into my hand and softly purring, proud to have her moment in the sun. Peeking out over my shoulder, Feather wants very much to be included and is hoping you'll invite her. Feather was brought to us with another cat when they were found in crates, so while we don't know much about her history before coming to the shelter, we know there's a brighter future just up ahead.
