My story

With piercing black markings and eyes so soulful they’ll stop you in your tracks, Maverick is here to steal your heart—and probably your seat on the couch, too. This energetic guy came to us alongside his buddy Caesar in early April. They were surrendered by their owner due to no fault of their own. While they don’t need to be adopted together, living with Caesar shows that Maverick has experience sharing space with another feline. He may be a great fit for a home with another playful cat to keep up with his zoomies! *High Energy Alert! Maverick is always on the move, ready to chase toys, climb, leap and turn any hallway or staircase into a racetrack. *Social Butterfly. This isn’t the kind of cat who hides under the bed. He wants to be in the middle of the action. *People-Focused. He thrives on attention and when he’s not getting enough he’ll give you a gentle head boop reminder...or two. *The Gaze. Maverick has a stare that goes straight to the soul. Don’t be surprised if you catch him looking at you like you’re the most important person in the world. (Because to him, you are.) If you’re searching for a cat who’ll live loud, love big and make every day a little more exciting, Maverick is your match. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
