My story

Meet Mattie – Tiny in Size, Huge in Heart! Mattie is a 2-year-old spayed female with a stunning lion-like mane and a personality that’s all snuggles and sunshine. Mattie showed up on the right doorstep, desperately in need of help. She was severely underweight, and her fur was so badly matted that it left scars where the mats had pulled at her skin. Though she’s small in size, she’s absolutely overflowing with affection. Mattie is incredibly sweet, loving, and bonds deeply with her humans. She adores being held, snuggled, and soaking up all the cozy connection she can get. Whether she’s curled up in your lap or tucked under your arm, she’ll be your soft, purring shadow. Don’t let her chill demeanor fool you—Mattie loves playtime, too! She’s always up for a burst of fun with her favorite toys and will keep you smiling with her playful energy. Mattie is looking for a home where she can be your one and only—she needs to be an only cat so she can soak up all your love for herself (and trust us, she will). If you’re searching for a tiny-sized companion with maxi affection, Mattie is ready to steal your heart. Mattie is currently in a foster home. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
